Wine racks no longer consist of flimsy wire or ordinary 2 x 4 shelves. Vintage View, a company, headquartered in Colorado, supplies modular storage units for custom wine cellars. The "units" are metal and glass cradles that support wine bottles horizontally vs. cork down like traditional wine storage methods. Wine labels are in full view thanks to the storage design that allows the bottles to lie flush with the edge of the metal cradle. Guests can pick their poison without rummaging through shelves of stacked glass.

Mountains are prevalent in Las Vegas, but creating caverns for wine storage is not the preferred method. Glass walls simulate cellar design in modern Las Vegas architecture. Hardened silica also serves to keep the elements out or invite them in. With the cellar dilemma, glass walls encase collections and allow for optimal temperatures.
